How much is the complete system had for nowadays, headers w/o cats and exhaust? My Grotyohann headers are looking like **** with the coating coming off, I will have them blasted and re-coated once I get them off, but they're not stainless. My current exhaust is 1.75 GROTYOHANN headers, 3" y-pipe w/o cats, stainless SLP DUAL DUAL catback.

Backdraft 408, have you done anything to straighten those tips?

I have seen several that have misaligned tips. I have the same exhaust, but have not fully installed it yet, so do not know how it will turnout on my car.

Worst case I will take it to a local shop andh ave the tips cut off and rewelded in the correct position.

Just curious if you had any tricks, because your sig pics looks as though they are twisted on both sides and not parallel to the ground.

No my tips are not parallel to the ground and i have not done anything to fix it. I was thinking about cutting the welds and rewelding but at the time i was just trying to get the project done due to limited time.

Plan on it guys....at least the early systems. Heard they "straightened" things out with an updated design. I bought mine a couple years ago not long after they were out and just had it installed.....yikes. System was too long from the headers (theirs too) all the way back. Took an 1" off at the collector connection and will require cutting the tips to straighten and remove another 1". Should look better by then.

Still a bad-*** system, but the effort and extra $$$$$ to make it "right" adds insult to the price paid.

Do any of you have the BMR torque arm relocation tranny mount? It doesnt have the exhaust mount on it and it never bothered me on the lighter y-pipes. But this system is a bit heavier and I feel it needs to be held a little better. Wondering if anyone has an easier solution than fabbing something up and welding it on there.

I'm having fitment issues right now as well. Hitting drivers side where the y-pipes are notorious for hitting, and also the right hand wall where the exhaust goes over the axle.

Their new hangers that come with the kit suck too. If I just hold muffler/tip section up with the provided hangars it doesnt even seem possible to make it all straight. I bent one of their hanger to fit better and also am using a stock one also instead of the drivers side bumper support one. It hung way too low with theirs.

Pictures tomorrow when I work on it again. It sounds badass though. I went catted and its still quite loud, its not cutout/open header loud of course....But, no more rasp, really deep note, and just overall am way happier than with a y-pipe setup.

I bought a hi-temp silicone hose and fastened it using the screw holes that held the heat shield in place.

Hi Dave....I feel your pain. Actually the installer did.....then my wallet.....again .

If I understand where you talking about, the system is too long, correct? They had to cut a good 3/4" off the header flange which seemed to help both conditions you're referring to.

I'll get some pictures in a little bit. It's not too long from what I can tell, but there are places they could have improved it.
