Just to quiet it down some and cut down on the smell. I don't have emissions here but from everything I've read it should only cost me 3hp or so. I've read the ARH cats don't sacrifice any HP, but I doubt they are the same. I bought them from Maryland speed when I ordered the system, you can get it both ways. I think the price difference is $100.

The first design: Only one point of adjustment.
This makes me very happy! Spring can't get here soon enough! I will actually have the same setup as you, Kooks TD/MWC 9"/watts link/strano springs/koni 4/4's. How happy are you with this combo and how is the TD ground clearance?

The ground clearance at stock hieght is great! Transws6am had a vid of his ground clearance which looked great for a lowered car.

I thought you had said you thought your friends Kooks TD's were too quiet with cats? I'm just gonna go non-cat, at the least it's $100 towards something else. You don't have emmisions in Minooka or you mean we just have to OBD2 it? I'm just over in Shorewood.

The ground clearance is awesome, everything tucks up very well on this kit.

possibly but that far from the motor it isn't going to cause any problems imho. And unless its a terrible leak soot shouldn't be much of an issue either that far back. I have the quad tips on mine. Welded.

I've heard a lot of the quad tips are not perfectly straight. Is that true?

I went with tsp tds bc of the huge price difference. But I have a camaro so i think no pipes or exhaust coming out the back clean up the looks of a camaro imo. But a Ta needs something back there. It would be nice if tsp would make their tds in stainless though. That's my only complaint

haha...better late than never. I didn't realize the 5th gen system has different mufflers than the 4th gen system due to space. I got cats and am happy with the sound, it's plenty loud and I wouldn't want any more sound out of it. No emmisions at all since I'm in Grundy Co.

Here's Kooks single tips

If you really stare at mine the tips are slightly angled. the outer-most tips are maybe a few mm lower than the inner-most. But they match so i just said **** it.

if your tips dont line up, just go to a muffler shop and have them put a torch to the bends before the mufflers, thats what i did bent the f*ck out of everything to get it to line up, and make it work with my original gas tank cover too.

Bought mine last year and just around to having it installed. All kinds of fitment issues, primarily length of system requiring their headers to be cut to move the system forward. If I recall, theyve made some adjustments to improve fit overall. Looks damn good though....

I had some issues with the fitment of the system. had to even cut down the over the axle pipes to get the tips to line up perfectly. My car is lowered with eibach sportlines and havent had any issues with clearance. Even if it was a pain in the *** to put in and to make it not hit the body while running it was still worth the money and time.
