Absolutely nothing wrong with metal/alum intakes...alot of people are actually starting to use them more on LS1's, especially those going with single plane intakes...like myself

You might want to think about a ported LS2 Intake. Fits right on and allows for the larger LS2 TB (90MM) to be used. FAST stopped producing its 90mm Intake. The 102mm intake is designed for the larger LS3/LS7 engines and will not show gaines over the 90mm on stock cube LS1s.

No body has a comment no the intakes talked about in this thread VS. the TBSS intake? I am using one on my 408 and curious how it stands in the rankings against these more talked about intakes.

has no one wanted to point out that self porting an ls6 intake is far easier than the bbk. Im with everyone on the bbk's are ugly. and the intake is about the first thing you see when you open the hood.

if you want some more power go bbk
Good looks paint the ls6 and port it
or spend a million dollars and get a fast 102 everything.

I went with the BBK for it's flexibility to run it w/wo egr, price, and the ability to run a 85mmTB, better flow than the LS6, and looks (yes, I like the way it looks!).

are you smoking some bad ****?

one of the whole points of the BBK is the fact that it has the detachable bottom plate for extensive porting... I don't see one of these on the LS6

Another option is the TPIS LS6 90, but it'll run you $800, or $350 if you send your LS6 intake in to be modified.

The TPIS LS6 90 would probably make the same power as a bbk but its much less weight. I still havent decided but its still down to the two. Good thing about the bbk is it still has the egr stuff. While if I get the LS6 its an extra 100 to tune the code out.
