looks good man but do me a favor and take a rag and some simple green and go to town on the rest of that engine bay so that the TB isnt the only clean thing in there haha

^ x2.. On everything. (is that a 98?.. {Edit}... Yeah it's a 98. VC's and WP give it away.)

And do the TB Bypass also. Costs $5.

lol I know, I know. Its horrible. Im waiting on getting a LS6 intake. Plus its winter here in germany. Kinda icky on the roads. But i run it through the under carraiage wash ever other week to keep it clean. Hopfully with the a LS6 intake maniold I can also get ride of that damn EGR/AIR plumbing. Wanted to keep it but damn, the EGR pipe is a HUGE interuption of airflow in the beginning of the intake. No wonder why people get rid of it lol. Defintatly need a tune soon.

^ You can chop that EGR pipe flush with the collar on the inside, you know? It's seen as a free mod.

I noticed it sucks alot more air lol. I havnt got to fully test it out yet but around post a low speeds i have to be alittle more carful on the throttle as the car jumps alittle more out of a stop quicker then im use to. Im sure as soon as i put the LS6 intake and tuned PCM in there AND the 3200 stall the car will REALLY jump lol

i was wondering, this TB is like a 80mm BBK where it doesnt have that little hole in the blade. Was hearing mixed recommendations on drilling or not drilling. Ive adjusted the idle screw but was wondering if i still should drill it.

if your car is idling fine i wouldnt screw with it. If you end up doing a cam install later you will need to drill a hole.

Not if its tuned properly, drilling a hole is the cheapo way to do it & if you drill it too large your screwed.

I'm curious about the way this piece is machined, its super thick up top & thin at the bottom also the holes at the top are extremely small compared to stock.

Its cools, probalby better put in the for sale area, but no biggy.
I did notice some idling issues occasionaly but i think that was due to my new 85mm MAF that was really dirty. I couldnt see it cause its still screened so for a minute the car was acting wierd, but oncei cleaned it, it cleared it up. im still trying to adjust the idle screw to have a happy medium for cold start and warmed up running.

I had the same one it was on my car for a day. Then I realized the blade was getting stuck open and messing up my idle.

That inlet is extremely sloppy! Looks like you could port it for days! There is so much meat on the inside.

That looks like a ported BBK unit. A little birdy told me a while back that BBK dumped a bunch of their 80mm inventory because it wasn't selling. Looks like this company might have bought some bulk and ported them.

Either way an 80mm TB doesn't do any good on a 78mm opening, but it sure does look nice.

In regards to the engine detailing. Cover the PCM with a towel, buy a bottle of Simple Green, soak the entire engine bay with it, let it soak for 10 minutes, hose of with very light running water. Then take some tire shine foam, soak engine bay again, sit 10 more min, hose off using same procedure....Bling bling.
