Jet hot headers with extensions

Hey guys ,
I was curious if you really need to get the extensions for jet hot lt's or are the stock ones long enough to strech?(Front O2s) Also for those of you that got jet hots did your headers come with gaskets or header bolts? And finally is it ok to run these headers without a tune for a while or does it cause excessive rich/lean conditions? thanks for your help guys

Hey man, i just put my jet hot LT's on today... the extinsions you should get, mine runs awsome w/o a tune, and finally all hardware is included!

I needed 1 foot extensions for both sides. My Jet Hots came with header bolts, but I used the stock bolts. They didn't come with new gaskets. You can run them without a tune, but won't reach the full power potential. Some cars need a tune more than others. With all the bolt ons and a cam, my car only picked up 5 hp with a dynotune. My stock tuning was almost dead on, so it really depends on how your car is running before the tune.

Good lord, how may people installed Jet hots today? I did as well.. and yeah, you need the extensions. Whoever said you can undo the stock wire and run it is crazy. Save yourself the grief and pay the $30

I just got my Jet hots the other day from Force Fed, and they came with bolts and gaskets, but I'm not gonna use either. I did order the extensions though

Go get some Hi Temp 16 gauge wire and extend your own O2's. That's how I did mine. It's really easy to extend your own 02's. Here is a thread I made a while back about home made 02 extensions. https://ls1tech.com/forums/generation-iii-external-engine/133123-home-made-02-extensions.html

Don't be scared, it's cheap and easy. The only thing I bought when I did my Pacesetters was some 3" band clamps, everything I either reused ( exhaust gaskets ), made ( 02 extensions ) or modified my self ( damn Pacesetter Y pipe ). Besides the purchase price of my Pacesetters I only spent $30 bucks to do the whole job, oops that doesn't include the $12 that I spent on a new set of TR55's.
