Got it running.. Kinda.. Runs like ****, but it runs. Almost sounded like it was miss-firing.

Started leaking coolant out of the back of the heads for some reason. I think it was leaking just sitting there, but when I gave her the ole' reach-around to check the plugs in the back of the heads, they felt dry. No idea why it would all of a sudden just decide to leak. I just tightened them down. the last time I actually TORQUED the steam vents I felt it was WAAAAY too tight and though I was going to strip it out.

Anyway.. here's a video. I gotta take the intake back off to see what's going on, but at least I'm done "clearancing" **** ..................... for now......

I take it, it's normal for this thing to NOT want to idle on its own. Had to hold the throttle at about 1/3 to keep it alive. I can't spray for leaks if it won't idle.

Got it. Had a injector disconnected and the driver's side coolant plug in the back was leaking. All good now. Running pig rich, but runs ok. Needs a tune BAD.

That YT Video editor is basic, but pretty easy to use. Merged the videos together, included two new ones.

Here is my Freshly Hand Ported FAST 102 Manifold vs my Un-Ported FAST 102. Thanks for the great job Tony Mamo!

^ Sweet! Unported manifold has a lot of sharp edges. I smoothed some out, but Mamo knows exactly what needs to be done with these.

And I REALLY gotta stick a catch can on my VC-TB PCV line. I had to pull the intake to reseal one of the head plugs and there is already a thin film of oil in the head runners. Dammit all! Gonna go to home depot today and pick up one of the air line drier canisters.

yup left side is the side that needs to be taken down the most(wish they gave it more meat like the right side through)...gives a more direct shot to the heads...overall the intake really fits well...alot better than the 90/92...

also a little trick most people dont do and can cost some hp...take the intake apart so you just have the bottom of the shell...place that on the heads and throw a few bolts in...now see how much play it has back and forth and notice how the port of the intake can restrict the head runner...line up the runners as close as possible for both sides and scribe the heads in front with a marker or razor blade...now when it is together and you are looking to throw it on the car you will know it is in the most ideal spot

^ I never thought about doing that, but I just centered the intake on where it wanted to sit and where the bolts weren't touching the intake.

And yeah, i was quite surprised at how well it lined up to my 243 heads. Was almost a direct port match. I think they make the ports small to fit a variety of sizes of heads.

Wish I had a 3m "ball" type pad and a longer die grinder. I would have smoothed out the inside of my runners as well.

Does anyone have a picture of the the 102 installed that can post some close up pics of the driver side, I would like to see the Evap purge solinoid area. I like to see how your wiring harness is laid out as well. I am running the DPNI and I may have to do some wiring alterations.
Thanks

Mine is laid out pretty close to stock. Was gonna try to run my harness on the inside of the fuel rails (Instead of on the exhaust side)... Was too tight, couldn't plug the injectors in. Got 3 on a side, but the 4th was too tight.

Will read this entire thread when I'm killing time at work, but good bits of info found already.

Just picked up my 102 for $500! Guy I bought it from has never been on the forums. Had it on craigslist.

^ The one in the pic with the 102, yeah.. You're correct. But the WP pictured in the second pic is fine. They all fit pretty much the same. (Gen II and IV, just not the 8.1L)

Well, I'm going with the LS3 102, so I'll see if anything goes differently with that.
I really don't know crap about injectors, but I do have (if I remember correct) 42lb injectors that are in the intake the engine came with.
I have Fast fuel rails on the way. I won't mess with any of this stuff until I have everything here.

Where are you guys picking up your braided fuel line for the intakes? Making them, or know a place to get it ready to go(on the 102)?

Vengeance racing makes a entire kit for the 102, rails, cross over, lines, adapters. I think it is right @ 399

Also you do not have to use the skinny injectors. I have the green top 42's in mine, the short fat style. You have to do some clearencing but they fit just fine. Thru out my entire build there wasn't very many of the aftermarket parts that didn't need some kind of fitting. Just the nature of the beast I guess.
