98-02 throttlebodies???
Yes, 1998-1999 LS1 cars had a smaller throttle body cam, which caused the throttle to open to WOT faster than 2000+ cars. I would imagine it would be interchangeable. Someone correct me if i am wrong though.
The 98-99 i believe, or '00 are interchangeable, but the 01-02s are not with the 98-99. The throttle cams are different sizes and if you try to put an 01-02 on a 98-99, it wont work, vice versa. Who knows extactly y GM did that, but who knows why GM does any of the things they do.

Well I am putting a 00 throtlebody on a 99.....we'll see...how easy does the cam come out.....special tools required..???????? and does Bauer differ in his throttlebodies between the years...???????
Just detach the butterfly plate and TPS, and
use a piece of brass or aluminum as a drift to
punch the shaft out without mushrooming the
end. Easy, give or take how crusty things are.
My home-ported TB is a truck core with my
original '02 shaft and PCV elbow fitting swapped
in.

Just take the blade out of the middle and the TPS sensor off the side and hit the shaft with a hammer on the end. It will pop the retaining coller on the end off and it will slide out.
Don't use a 00+ TB on a 98/99. Just get a 98/99 TB. The porting wouldn't differ between the years, only the throttle camber is different. If you need to, just swap in a 98/99 round throttle camber into the 00+ ported TB and be done with it. You need the correct throttle shaft for the right year or it's not going to work.
