Waisting fuel anyone !!!!
Since ive been home and driving my car ive noticed that i am only getting about 200 miles to a tank of gas... (normal)??? Also noticed that when accelerated hard over 4 an 5 grand the smell of unused fuel. Lookin through the rear view mirror i notice clouds coming out of my exhaust tips... Other drivers have told me that they noticed a rich smell and mists have hit there windows as i pull away...
I was told my car was running rich .....
I thought that if i i was waisting fuel like this that the air fuel ratio was not mixing right and burning up all the fuel completely.....would a bigger tb help bring in more air???
Any ideas why? Is this normal? How can i fix it

Get a wideband. Or use some tuning equipment to monitor O2 sensor performance.
Mist out of the exhaust is common in cold weather, if it was unburned fuel you wouldn't even be getting 200 per tank.

^ AEM makes an affordable WBO2. It's a better way to measure what your car is "spitting out." If you were to connect an Air/Fuel gauge in a "T" to one/both of the factory O2's the signal will be all over the place.

Get it looked at, if it's fuel out your pipes then your engines over fueling & you will be washing your bores. Your pistons & bores are going to look pretty bad.

That's what I get, about 205 miles or so to the tank. 3200 stall and all city driving. Last time I took a trip I was getting about 22-23 miles per gallon. I'm getting a wide band soon, I think I may be running a little rich as well.
If you do the math it could also have to do with the 10% + of ethanol in gas now. From what I have found average vehicles that aren't designed for ethanol lose about 30% efficiency with E85. So if you do the math, 10% ethanol loses around 3.53% efficiency.
I know that doesn't account for all the lose but, if you figure performance mods, plus idling in traffic, etc., it makes the lose make more since.

I get roughly 200miles to the tank in mostly city driving and my exhaust doesn't smell like fuel. It's just a matter of how much you get on the car every stop and go.
Really the best way to measure mileage without having to buy a gauge is to fill up your gas tank (dont overfill or anything). Reset your trip. Get on a highway and just cruise, turn around and go back to the same gas station. Fill back up. Do the math.
If your car isn't burning fuel correctly, it would show up cruising as well as city driving, but city driving as very much non-repeatable so it's better to compare cruising mileage.

^^ What c0ncept said is actually true. Find out what your coolant "code" is. Coolant TEMP, or LOW coolant? Look into that. Make sure it's plugged in, cheap and easy first. Driver's side head, right in front of the front exhaust port on the head.

I told you back on the 3rd to get it tuned!!!!!! have you done anything about phoning a tuner and talking to him about getting this done or his opinion on the issue?
