I still think its the headers, if the bung hole was plugged up that def says something about the quality and even with their catbacks have been suffering from quality issues. I say try another set of headers like bbks or pacesetters. If the old exhaust fit fine along with the motor mounts then i dont see any problems with the car itself.

You're saying I should try solid motor mounts instead of the poly ones?

Its a known fact some headers just dont fit as well as others. Like flowtechs which are also made by hookers seem to have problems hitting thing, and some headers like the bbk's or pacesetters simply use a better design. Every header is designed differently and all it takes is to have the jig out of whack when the headers are being welded up and then they will be completely off. There was another guy on here who had qtps which are $800 headers and they didnt fit for shiiittt. After cutting and grinding the k member he finally decided to order a different brand and what do ya know they fit fine. Try another brand bbk's tsp or pacesetter are all good brand that dont have fitment issues.

I don't know why plenty of people have used Hookers with no problems...but I guess I can try and grind a little more of the k member down before I send both sets back wait another week and try the Pacesetters.

so I grinded the k again..tried and hit..grinded another spot...tried and hit...grinded another spot...tried and hit

whatever spot I grinded down...it then hit another one as it moved closer...i think the only way the Hookers will fit on my car is if I cut the k member completely in half!!!!!

dont worry.....that k is a pretty stout piece.....when i did my TSPs the damm thing did not wanna go in the drivers side......i spent days tryin to get it up in there......then the light bulb went off.....i took out the motor mount pedestal and it took 2 sec to get it in there.......i was almost ready to drive to texas speed and chunk those headers at them.......maybe you should try removing the pedestal
