The free ram air mod doesn't do much of anything at all...look into a ram air system that has proven results...

But if you are bored and broke and need to do something I completely understand, keeps you busy...

If I do this mod can I add a CAI later without issue or will I have to buy a new air box after doing this mod to add a CAI??

You have to do the free ram air mod to use a cai kit.

Check out the SSRA. It picked up 13rwhp.

Yes you can do it like that.
But just like I said before and jimmy says, you will be sucking in hot air without a cold air duct. It will work a little when the car is moving at a decent speed though.
Results for my CAI kit...https://ls1tech.com/forums/drag-raci...oof-works.html

It only sucks in hot air at idle when stopped, once the car is moving it gets cold air.

And how many seconds does it take for your IAT reading
to respond and quit pulling timing?
