Locking Gas Caps
What do you guys have? Prob not a big deal, i havent had one since i bought the car, but I dont like someone being able to syphon or dump sugar in my tank (though i doubt anyone should ever get that pissed at me ). I looked online, and in some stores. Walmart sells a $10 one but it looks pretty ghetto and i dunno if the locks are even any good. So..what have you guys done?

At one time, I bought one at GM for one of my cars, I can't remember if it was for my Caprice or Camaro but it was pretty much the same as any aftermarket one I've come across, just more $! No probs with it, even when they do the cap vacuum test for emissions

I had one on my truck because the night I bought the thing some low life POS tried to syphon from it. Got sick of having to unlock it every time I put gas in though so I took it off. Also, the lock froze up on me the first winter I had it, but you won't have that problem. Never froze again after I lubed it up. It's a 2001 Dakota, I didn't get any CEL's from running it, but I have heard of people having that problem.

WS6Store sell's one, but I'm not sure if it's made by GM.

I think by far Stant makes the best locking gas cap. I got a shitty Motormaster one from Canadian Tire up here, and id have to constantly fight to get the thing locked properly, rarely would catch and would sometimes cause a CEL light.
My suggestion is buy a Stant Cap, awesome cap that shouldn't give you any problems. I don't even need the key to lock the thing, unlike the cheaper ones. Just put on and twist, locked!

Yeah the stants are the walmart ones im pretty sure. I dunno if they are ghetto or not, wont untill i use one, but just thought they looked kinda cheap and all. You guys find them alright though?
Yeah i was going to leave one in the consol one in the glove, just in case cause you pretty much never loose stuff in there.
