Wich ones? The front or the rears? If the rears went it will throw a cat code. The front ones will make the car run bad it will drink a ton of gas. Use a thermal gun to check if the cat is bad.

The exhaust enternig the cat shoud be hotter then the exit.
I think the rule of thumbs is 100* differance.

when the O2's go bad the pcm goes into a default mode and just tries to guess a/f ratio. so yea, as mentioned it's gonna use a lot of gas and possibly run like crap.

just replace em both soon.

once you change them both out, disconnect your battery for about an hour and then re-connect and drive around (normal driving) for about 20 mins so the computer will re-learn everything.

One thing i suggest doing, try pulling all 4 O2 sensors out of the exhaust and clean them I do it at every oil change. Make sure they are cool and spray inside them with throttlebody cleaner. Then shake the $hit out of them. You will see a ton of carb come out of the probe.

Unless it's an auto, there is no real "re-learn" period with the LS cars. The computer figures stuff out within a couple seconds. But the o2 warm up time is a different subject. Heated O2's. No idea on how fast they get up to temp.
