Default never heard til LT install

Finished my header install over the weekend. I can hear my pistons " chunking " and my valves when I give it gas now more than ever. Could hear the motor slightly before, but now its like I can hear the parts moving like im in the motor. I dont know, hard to explain. But, is this normal audio from the motor after LT install.

Maybe, sound is so subjective. Those primaries are much thinner than stock manis....mine was louder in the engine post LT install.

^ That's what I was thinking this was too. You can hear the "clinking" sound more on headers because the metal is thinner. On stock manifolds you have a good "wall" of cast iron holding the noise in. This thread jogged my memory. You get used to the extra noise after a while. Get a loud catback and you won't hear it anymore.

I think this is where our cars get the "sowing machine" description from. Mine has it as well.

^ Sewing machine is different. That's valve train noise after a cam install.

Ex: This is a knock video for reference, but the sewing machine noise is always there.

Never heard a windy noise. Piston slap normally occurs on a cold start. Kind of a "sloppy" sound. If that makes sense?? The sewing machine noise sound like a sewing maching (hence the name). Most people hear it more when they upgrade their cam.

Well thats weird cause I dont have a aftermarket cam and it sounds like a sowing machine to me right now. I guess it will get louder after a cam. But ehh, what do I know...sounds like a sowing machine under the car as well. Guess I beter study the ls1 sound terminology book a little more

I did notice it a little before the cam swap, but it became a lot more noticable afterwards.
