Default Stock GM balancer or aftermarket?

I am planning on converting to the Vette front accessories. So I am wondering if I should go ahead & put a GM balancer on it or go with something from the aftermarket....?

I'm just using the stock balancer, I havent seen many failures.... I would go stock unless your wanting to spend the money on an underdrive pulley

Might as well get the underdrive pulley. I got mine on ebay for $120, made a noticeable difference.

if you have the money for the aftermarket balancer go with that man, they hold up to much higher rpm's, i know the ati fluid dampners work well, and i've heard pretty good things about the professional products one as well

I just run a stock one. I've heard of lots of guys on here discover aftermarket UD pulleys causing a high rpm break up/misfiire. This is after replacing everything else trying to track down the cause. Even the SLP underdrive pulley (which i believe is made by powerbond) is advertised that it will not create a false knock. For a few small hp, I'd rather not deal with the potential headache.

IMO get a Fluidampr crank pulley, better than stock!

I've been running the ASP specialties underdrive pulley for almost ten years without a problem.

I would get an SFI rated UD pulley if it were me. I have run a SLP/Powerbond for years with no issues.

The Fluidampr installs just like any other crank pulley for our cars.
I've got the Aluminum 10% UD pulley on my car.

Fluidampr and SLP

Stock

My engine actually seemed to shake less after replacing the SLP pulley with the Fluidampr, none/no issues!.
