Horizontal throttle body on a victor jr. intake?
I know I have seen it done but cant find anything on it. So does anyone know exactly how it works? I am looking at possibly running it on my 72 chevelle with the factory air breather.
Does it use the factory sensors? Does it bolt right up to the 4150 flange? Will they except a factory throttle body?
Thanks Tim.

Ok my question now is has anyone ran a stock throttle body in the horizontal position? I know the 350 vortec motors ran them in this position. Will it work on the LS series in the samr manor.
Does anyone make an adapter plate to mount the factory tb to the square flank?
Thanks Tim.

That intake is actually the GM performance one. But I agree with you on the type you were tlking about. Between work and home I have tried to call Edlebrock on this but got put on hold for almost an hour, and finally had to hang up. And called back but it was after they were closed. I will call back tomorrow.

OP,
I think you would have to fabricate or have somebody fabricate a bracket for you to run the monoblade tb on a single plane intake. It would work, assuming you set the throttle cable bracket in just the right position to allow for WOT.
Honestly though, going with a 4150 TB would be easier, and you wont have a problem finding a carb hat or air filter to fit it. plus the progressive linkage will probably work better with the shorter runners of the single plane in terms of throttle response.
There are a few different 4150s out there, with different flow ratings as well. I have the FAST tb I am currently converting to. Its the exact same as the accufab from very thing i can tell, very nice piece.

Ya Iwas looking into making a aluminum plate for it. And still may try in my spare time to see how the results are. But I do agree going with a 4150 flange setup will probably be best and actually cheeper in the long run.
Thanks Tim.
