Default Removing intake manifold

I'm taking the intake manifold off right now, have all the bolts loose the injectors and Fuel line. But on the front of the intade on the drivers side there is a round cylinder thingy. One side of it goes to the Fuel line and the other goes to the intake right behind the TB. What is it and how do I disconnect it? I can take pics if no one knows what I'm talking about

Fuel tank vent should be a white plastic tab on it to push and pull

when i installed my slp intake i had the same problem all i did to resolve that prob was to take a small piece of sheet metal cut it so that u can wrap it to the same diameter of the piece and press it into the gap press it downand thus allowing the reg. to release and thus solving ur problem.......hope that helps...if u need more descrpt details just pm me or reply here

Thanks Guys! I can see the little white "clips" I even see a little clip that looks like if it is depressed it will pull out. But I tried for awhile just didn't want to break anything. I'll try again and let you know if I have anymore questions

Thanks again!

You have to finesse it a little.

Disconnect the fuel line from the back of the purge solonoid and leave it on the manifold. No need to remove the solonoid from the manifold. You're just pulling the manifold to remove the head, arent you?

Yep I looked at that side so how do I disconnect that? Not trying to sound like a dumbass this is my first time working on the LS1 and I don't want to break anything Do I just press down on the tabs and pull back? That would make more sense to just leave it all in one piece!

OMG I just got it thanks Nasty, I was being a dumbass without even trying

I was trying to get the TINY tab back not just press and pull how easy.. 2xLS1 I agree that would have been better because now its in the way but man imagine how long it would have taken me to figure that connector out

Thanks again guys I'll try to keep the stupid questions to a minumum but I give no guarnatees!

Dont feel bad.. i had trouble getting that stupid thing off also..

BTW.. its part of the emissions system.. no fuel goes through it or the line bundled to the real fuel line.

DOH!!! Its in back of the intake, just a little on the driver's side from midline. Its a black cylinder type thing sticking vertically out of the block. It is very easy to break, especially when you out the new intake back on, and while taking the old one off if you lift at just the front and not evenly it can tilt back and break it.

Its behind the intake towards the drivers side. I think the brake booster hose is what breaks it. Make sure its disconnected and away from the oil sender.

I broke it and its like $50. Kind of a pain to install too.

Its really shitty to finish with your install, crank that bitch up, and then see 0 oil pressure . Then you basically have to do it all over again, with some added steps. Just don't break it.
