Default setup too loud? :D

i have an F13 cam (230/232, .595/.585, 112+4 LSA) being installed either this week or next, and i'm wondering if you think it will be too loud with my exhaust setup? pacesetter LT's, 3" catted tsp y-pipe, 3" flowtech manual cutout (open), SLP "firehawk" cat-back (slightly better/bigger than stock).

now keep in mind, when i say "too" loud, i mean for my self as i DD the car. i do not care about my neighbors nor do i care about people on the road (other than coppers). i used to run the same setup on my old trans am except it was an ORY, but the motor was also stock.

anyone else ever DD a mild cam with a cutout?

I would say it would be pretty loud with the cutout open. As far as it being too loud for you??? That's a tough one to answer.

I use to have a very similar setup and drove around with mine open all the time too...Never once got pulled over.... It sounds great at idle but not the best when your part throttle as it gets pretty raspy...

i'm never ever going above 2k rpms

lol but seriously, i just have to be selective of where i go WOT

how noticeable will the performance increase be on the "butt" dyno? this is the first internal mod i've ever done so i'm not sure what to expect.

Leave the cut out closed when you are just crusing around. I haven't got pulled over with my set up yet, and it's pretty loud... KNOCK ON WOOD.

I have a Comp 224/224 cam, pacesetter lt's, catted y and the slp dual/dual which i beleive is the same exhaust you have. I just recently put the cats in and it quieted down alot, almost to quiet. Now I kinda of want a cutout. If you close the cutout it wont be very loud at all but with it open I think almost any setup is going to be pretty loud.

It clearly going to be louder, so I'd cap the cut-out around town, or better yet get a electric cut-out.

Cut outs behind a catted y pipe is not going to be that loud.

yeah as it is now it's def a LOT quieter than when i was running with an ory, just hoping the cam doesn't put it over the top volume-wise. i'd like to be able to cruise around with it open all the time like i do now
