Cant seperate Y pipe from I pipe.

Cant seperate Y pipe from I pipe. Im about to install my TSP catted y pipe but i cant separate by stock y pipe where it slip fits into the I pipe. Ive used a hammer on the y pipe try and bang it out, i let it soak in WD 40 over night, Ive even tried the torch and i cant seam to get it out, any ideas?
I had some issue with mine as well. Are you doing it on a lift or while laying on the ground? I did mine on the ground and found places to put my feet and just ended up pulling and twisting it off with all my strength. Just be careful when it breaks free, depending on where you put your feet and how tall you are, the I portion of the y pipe could come crashing down on your *****.

ive already got the clamp off....i tired hammering the y pipe but the i pipe has some give to it which absorbs the blows from the hammer, for those of you that used the pry bar and the hammer, any advice on the technique you used?

How about an exhaust disconnect tool. Not to sound like a smartass but you aren't the first one thats had this problem. Thats why that style of clamp sucks. I prefer band clamps for that reason.
