ASP alternator pulley in an A4 question

ASP alternator pulley in an A4 question

A friend of mine has an ASP altenator pulley he's not using.. I have the ASP crank pulley on my car already.. For some reason I though the alternator pulley was only beneficial on an M6 car..

Will the ASP alternator pulley work ok with the ASP crank pulley on an A4 car? Will I gain or lose anything? HP? Voltage? What will it help if anything?

I had an asp underdrive crank pulley with the stock alternator pulley and was having charging problems with a mild stereo. Battery would drop really low with the stereo on and idling at stop lights etc. I switched to an asp overdrive alternator pulley and everything is fine now. No charging problems whatsoever. Just a thought

Wouldnt an overdrive pulley counter an underdrive pulley? you know, -1 + 1 = 0

Sounds logical, but maybe the Alternater pully doesn't counter as much, so I would imagine it could be -1 + 0.5 = -0.5.

Hey I have been having the exact same charging problems at stop lights with my underdrive crank pulley! Everyone told me to just but a new battery and it would fix the problem...is this a waste of money? Im just going to take the damn pulley off if the battery solution isnt going to help..?

I would suggest getting an overdrive alternator pulley. It worked for me and it's cheaper than a battery

I plan on getting a small system soon and just dont wont to be having problems like this especially once I actually do put a little smapge strain on the car. Wil the battery actually fix it but just costs a lil more or is the over drvie pulley the only fix? Because my dad is not cool with me putting stuff on it to make it faster so I sneak everything i have on it..ya know how it is..
