is this LS6 intake? *pics*
ive been trolling some junk yards and ive been considering LS6 intake next...i have seen some pics of the intake but i wanted to make sure because its out of a 2002+ caprice SS..here are some pics. also, can anyone please show me some pics of the ripped ribs to fit the ls1 coolant lines? i dont want to block off the rear cross overs....Oh and the best of all they run 100$ here, ill try to take it for less thanks.
EDIT: another question, should i buy LS6 throttle body too? or can i use mine? i want maximum gains, am going to port and polish mine eventually. what about LS6 injectors? i have the egr block off plates too so i think am set. advices please. thanks

No need on the injectors or tb. You will need the coolant line and coolant plugs though so snag them if they are there. Also I'd get the ls6 valley cover to upgrade your pcv system while you have the intake off.

If you're talking about an LS6 valley cover, you won't be able to reuse the LS1 coolant line because of the nubs on the top of the valley cover. Even if you grind down the ribs on the bottom of the manifold. I've been there

OP- also upgrading to the LS6 valley cover is a good mod to do while swapping the intake. If you don't want to use the two rear plugs, I've read you can use two front crossover coolant lines, one for the front and one for the rear. I have not actually done this myself so if someone knows for sure you can't use a front crossover coolant line in the rear please speak up.

Btw, when talking LS6 valley cover, it means all 2001 and later LS1. So all '01+ LS1's have the LS6 valley cover/PCV system and intake. Just incase you didn't know. The later '01+ style PCV system/valley cover is very beneficial to the motor and very easy to change over. Just fyi.
