TSP rumbler/dynomax catback questions
Im thinking of getting a dynomax bullet catback to replace my stock SS system.
I want the car to be loud when i get on it, but not too much louder while cruising. Most of the time while driving im shifting at 1800 rpm so I don't think it will be too loud or annoying, but im not sure.
Also, i do not want drone or rasp, im not sure if the bullet muffler will be good for that.
I could also have a custom setup done, but not sure what i would want.
Thanks

It won't be too bad if you have stock manifolds and y pipe.
Do you have the stock slp dual/dual system or the regular stock system? If you have the dual/dual I would keep it on there and get an electric cutout for the times when you want to be loud. Best of both worlds IMO...and the dual/dual flows good.

Dynomax bullet system on stock mani's sounds awesome, I would do it again. Oddly enough I just posted up my review of a few setups....

Its not d/d its the other ss system, its a 99, but it's pretty loud for stock.
Don't want a cutout, sounds like ****, too loud.
Forgot to mention it does have stock manifolds for now but i will be switching in a little while. Do you think after LT's/ory it will be annoying?

i just installed the dynomax catback on my car with the cats hollowed out and the only issue i have is cruising in 6th at 60mph, the drone is terrible at that speed. My car is an m6 with stock gears. any other speed/gear it sounds badass, i would definitely recommend it

Depends on what exhaust system you have. I dont think you'll be annoyed with the Rumbler/Dynomax system but then again, idk what your level of too loud would be.
You will have rasp with that ORY though, if you go with cats it'll mellow out some of that rasp or maybe most of it. I dont really know, ive never had a catted y-pipe system.

i would go custom, i had a rumbler cat back, wasn't very impressed with it.
i'd go with a hidden single tip. borla xr-1(or something similar) in the i-pipe. flow master merge in the y-pipe.

My TSP Rumbler with stock manifolds/y-pipe/cats sounded good but the drone on the freeway was severe. You absolutely will experience drone in the 1800 to 2200 rpm range with a single bullet muffler.
I probably don't need to explain how switching to LT/ORY affected the already loud exhaust.
