TSP 100mm MAF issues..keeps throwing code
It's not about who's tuned what. Jeez.
If you took the time to research about the screen, vice shooting it down, you'd be lead to a ******* FANTASTIC thread on HPTuners about guys using it with card MAFs and having AWESOME results.
You can lead a horse to water.....

You know what? I had actually was copying & pasting several quotes from that thread, but just gave up.
It works. You read, I read it, others have read it.
Correction to your statement- They all had a hard time tuning it. Now they don't.
I'm now not seeing "your" point, sir. You're using a 100mm tube to try to get an "accurate" air reading coming off a VERY short run of pipe. That's exactly what the screen does. It straightens the airflow so the MAF can get a better and more accurate reading of straight, not turbulent air.
EDIT: In other news, UFC 133 is shaping up to be a pretty kick *** card......

I understand that its a very short pipe but not much I can do about that. Do you have any better ideas as to where someone can place the sensor at so the air isnt as turbulent.
And I do understand that the screen will help, thats why I ordered one. The reason why i asked the other guy how many cars with 100mm ls7 mafs hes tuned is because he called the screen a "bandaid" that is unnecessary. I really question his experience with these mafs in fbodys.

Jimmy,
I'm fairly certain by now you've found the thread on here titled "replacement airflow straighteners"
You can clearly see during the smoke tests the way it straightens out an EXTREMELY erratic airflow. I also saw where you were trying to clock her from 11 to 3 o'clock and so on.
The 100mm MAF isn't really that new, but not a whole hell of a lot of poeple have them; They'd just assume go speed density. The problems some have, others won't; The solutions that have worked for this guy, may not work for you, as I assume you've found out already.
I have NO stock nor any personal vested interest in this company. I do however, have several friends that have run these in their combos, even SD tuned, and have gotten "fixed" results. Bottom line, to get linear readings that aren't bouncing from one end of the spectrum to the other, you need something to straighten out that massive flow.
60% of the time, it works.... all the time. (joke)

I wonder if you just didn't possibly get a faulty card? I know guys have tuned them and had NO problems.... Maybe something's wrong with it? It's been like this since day one, or just happened all the sudden?
I have considered that myself, but Ifigure the tuner would have picked that up, especially since I brought the car back to the shop a second time and the tuner spent more time trying to get it dialed in to work with the MAF.
I will post results after I install the screen. IF that still doesn't help, then I will swap out the card for a new one..Worst case scenario I will install a 85MM Z06 maf and have the tuner dial that in, but I dont want to since I know what type of [power the car made with this setup.

I hope the screen fixes the issue. You must be about ready to pull your hair out at this point.
I've heard the Z06's max at around 440 - 450 rwhp.... Any truth to that?

I made 460rwhp with the current MAF..I really dont want to loose any power at this point. I would rather keep going up in power, not down lol.
My honey comb screen came in today and the install was a breeze. Less than 10 minutes from start to finish. I reset the SES light and I will have to drive it one of these days to see if the problem is cured. I would of drove it today but its WAY too hot now in Chicago.
