Default LS6 EGR adapter?

I can't find one anywhere. I looked on SLP and SCDP. I heard those are the two places to find it but its not listed on their page. Has anyone seen them for sale anywhere lately?

A what? LS6 engines don't have external EGR provisions, so I'm not too sure what there would be to "adapt"...unless you wanted to put EGR on an LS6 intake?

LS6 engines do not but EGR adapters are sold for LS1 swaps and those who want to keep EGR. I have an 98 LS1 that I just bought a LS6 intake for. I want to keep EGR. There is an adapter to let you keep EGR. It goes between the TB and intake.

Edit, just did some searching and according to a thread I found SLP discontinued them, but people have drilled a hole in the intake to make it work.

Only other thing I know is to get the SLP LS6 intake that is made for LS1 cars that have a EGR provision. But those are not attachments they are incorporated into the whole intake

I'm sort of curious as to why you want to keep EGR...visual emissions? From a performance standpoint, EGR is a bad thing.

Ya.. SLP made them. Darn... I couldn't find much information about them.

I only want to keep it is to pass emissions. Will it not throw a code if I unhook it?

You may throw a code, but can get it tuned out. I don't have EGR or AIR on my car - had them tuned out, and no SES codes.

Ya, that's me. I modded it last month, zero issues since. Definitely worth a try.

Passing emissions is always a good thing.

Plus, I've read that there's the potential to lose a few mpg after losing the EGR. Anyone know if this is true? This fact alone is what makes me want to keep the EGR if I were to ever do an intake swap.

You'd more than likely see a mileage increase; the EGR system simply recirculates spent exhaust gases into the incoming fresh air charge to reduce combustion chamber temps (thus lowering nitrous oxide emissions), so with no EGR system on the car, the engine is actually more efficient.

well, since june when i installed the manifold. the mod itself was fairly cheap. i think i paid $11 bucks for the fitting and another $8 for the jb weld so i guess it totaled around $20, not including the paint for the intake.
