x2 I have a Hooker and it is great at idle and low rpm driving, But once I open her up she screams!

Lightbulb

Get some thick Lloyds floor mats in front and back, then

Just get the Ultra Plush Cut Pile with the Mass Backing options and there's a much quieter 4th Gen.

The SLP Dual/Dual catback is very quiet under normal driving conditions and has a nice sound to it at WOT...and if thats not loud enough for you, add an e-cutout

Oh hey, didn't realize my thread was still alive. I bought an original Loudmouth (off of an SS) in the classifieds. I'm waiting for it yet. Since I'm putting my stock manifolds and cats back on with it, I figure it should sound pretty good. I think it will sound quiet in comparison to my current setup anyways. Plus, I can add mufflers later if it's too loud to convert it into a borlamouth or the powerflo.

You are aware that the LMII ie effectively an SLP built "Dynomouth". There were so many people swapping bullet mufflers into LMI's in the early 2000's as headers became more prevelant that SLP got in on the action. Buying an LMII with any intention of swapping a different bullet muffler in to affect a rasp situation (tone can vary) is akin to rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic.

Hanging all that stuff on a true dual setup really defeats the purpose. There is not tons of space under these cars to start with. You start hanging big case quiet mufflers and two cutouts under there, and you may as well go back to a quiet cat-back and single cutout.
