Throttle body not opening all the way..no where near it
Ive searched and searched, couldnt find exactly what im looking for.
Here's the dilema. Just installed my drivetrain from my 99z with tcs and cruise into a 2000 ta with no tcs and the cruise removed. Well the throttle body is only wanting to open about 60-70% . I did find in my search that some have an adjustment in the middle of the cable, but im not sure mine will since it doesnt have TCS. It also seems like the gas pedal is sitting too close to the floor, almost like it should be propped up a little more and that would take the slack out of the cable.
Any ideas?

The cams on the various TBs have different profiles but
the same net draw length to open. This is not your
problem. Neither is the bump stop. Not at only 60%
open. Which you should verify by ruler, not by an
electrical reading.
You can take slack out of a nonadjustable cable by
shimming at the gas pedal arm. A rigid bit, like brake
line slit lengthwise, of proper length.
But some cars just don't draw enough at the top of
the arm, and then you have to pull the pedal and
bend more angle into it. Easy enough, piece of pipe
and a bench vise.
