As shown in the picture the center is on the right(inlet) and the offset is on the left(exit).

Yeah, I wasn't 100% sure which way you mounted, since Magnaflow does say you can run either end as a inlet (reversible).

Thanks again.

Yeah, I should have said "using the picture for reference". The picture could be misleading from the angle it was taken.

So I finally got the Mufflex 3.5" cat-back w/Magnaflow muffler installed behind/after the Borla XR1; Drone is completely gone, and it's toned down a good notch, but still has a lot of bass to it!

I even got a compliment from a cop, he said he liked the deep, but mellow tone it has. I guess that's another plus to it.

Where did you get the piece to go over the axle and is it 3 1/2? Thanks.

Yeah it does, except I have a Borla 3.5" XR1 3.5" in/out muffler in the I-pipe, and the 90* bend out of the Magnaflow is 304 SS. and I believe it's probably 4" longer.
Yeah,..... it looks like yours.

Nice, I was going to do something like that. I planned on a three inch system with a vibrant merge, round magnaflow in the I-pipe and an oval XR1 out back. It should sound similar to your system, maybe a little quieter. Any opinions?
Do you have a drive by clip to post?

If you're going with 3" then a 4"dia. Magnaflow #14419(14"case $78) should be good in the I-pipe, and in the rear I'd also consider a Magnaflow #11219(14"case $84) or#11249(18"case $93). With the 14" Magnaflow oval, or 16" oval Borla in the rear it should be about the same and a little quieter with the 18" oval Magnaflow.

Just a little FYI, I like the way the ends of Magnaflow cases are constructed/welded, and the lower cost, compared to the Borlas which don't seem to me to be any better than the Magnaflows. Yeah I have a Borla in my exhaust, but that's only because Magnaflow doesn't make a 5" dia. 3.5" in/out muffler. Don't get me wrong, Borla makes a really good muffler, but I think it's over priced. The oval Borla XR1 #40944 w/16" case is $140, which is at least $47 more than either of the oval Magnaflows I listed.

BTW, the last clip was just to let you'll know how it sounds inside the car with the drivers window all the way down.

Thanks, for the feedback. I didn't realize the window was down in the last clip. It was quiet inside the car.

Yeah it's nice and quiet inside the car, but I'd still consider it loud outside with a very deep tone that isn't harsh.

It sounds great! How's the drone? I would think that having the tip extended only slightly more then my setup it probably doesn't drone as bad.

No drone at all!
The pipe is all one Stainless Works 90*with the end cut at a angle. I then gave it a brushed finish with a scotch brite pad.

I can't wait to hear my setup...I'm going to get the 3.5" mufflex but put a Borla XR1 where you have the Magnaflow and no muffler in the I pipe for now, but that might change. Your car sounds great. Video makes it seem alot louder at the front of that car than at the rear

The valve train is somewhat noisy, but with the front being closer the the fence and house it make's it sound even louder, In a big open parking lot it's noticeably quieter.

Thats kinda what I figured, my valve train is noisy too, sounds like an old sewing machine from in the car. Its kinda neat sounding after I figured out that nothing was wrong haha

Again props on the exhaust it sounds very unique and the sound inside the car is great

Quick Reply: Magnaflow 3.5" in/out oval mufflers, who's running one?
