Magnaflow 3.5" in/out oval mufflers, who's running one?
So now I'm now starting to contemplate going with a Mufflex 3.5" cat back with either a Magnaflow #14151 w/14" case or preferably a 12909 w/22" case, I would probably also continue to use the Borla XR1 in the I-pipe.
Let me hear you thoughts and opinions, especially if you have/had either one of these muffler, or have first had any experiences with some one that has/had them.
Thanks

Yeah I did come across these, and if I go this route I'll most likely leave the XR1 in the I-pipe, unless I go with the 22" case.

I have a 3.5 catback with the magnaflow race muffler(14inch case) and single hidden tip. I can try to get a video up tomorrow. I also have a ory pipe with the flowmaster merge. I like loud exhaust but with this setup i wish i could quite it down some. Im looking to get a muffler to put in the i-pipe to tame it down some. It sounds way better than the hooker catback i had on the car, much deeper sound.

I am running the 12909 on my 1989 Trans Am. It is relatively quiet until you go pedal to the metal and then it has a nice throaty roar to it. I really like it. Driving around town there is no problem listening to the radio or having a conversation with a passenger. Also no drone.

No it did not come with it. At that time I had a choice of either a Flowmaster or a Spintech. I choose the Spintech. I did not like it and it was very heavy. I bought the Aerochamber and did not like that. Later on Magnaflow came out with the 12909 muffler and it was what I was looking for in a muffler. I think the cat-back portion of our cars are the same. It fits fine and maybe some trimming was needed but not much. In this case Mufflex is wrong.
Attached is the best picture I have of it installed.

BTW, which end did you use as the inlet, offset or centered end?
