Default Magnaflow 3.5" in/out oval mufflers, who's running one?

So now I'm now starting to contemplate going with a Mufflex 3.5" cat back with either a Magnaflow #14151 w/14" case or preferably a 12909 w/22" case, I would probably also continue to use the Borla XR1 in the I-pipe.
Let me hear you thoughts and opinions, especially if you have/had either one of these muffler, or have first had any experiences with some one that has/had them.

Thanks

Yeah I did come across these, and if I go this route I'll most likely leave the XR1 in the I-pipe, unless I go with the 22" case.

I had a custom 3.5'' exhaust with the Magnaflow 3.5'' Race series stainless muffler on my 98 Z28. The muffler had a nice deep but not too loud sound to it. I really liked it because it wasn't loud/obnoxious.

Real quiet at idle, my brothers stock trans am with a single in/dual out muffler was louder at idle.

Longtube headers, 3'' ORY to 3.5'' single exhaust dumped at the bumper

Stock cam

I have a 3.5 catback with the magnaflow race muffler(14inch case) and single hidden tip. I can try to get a video up tomorrow. I also have a ory pipe with the flowmaster merge. I like loud exhaust but with this setup i wish i could quite it down some. Im looking to get a muffler to put in the i-pipe to tame it down some. It sounds way better than the hooker catback i had on the car, much deeper sound.

Thanks I'd really appreciate it, especially since you seem to have a very similar setup.

Okay, I got the Muffler 3.5" cat-back w/magnaflow and hide-away tip(pt#98352cm) on order today.
It should be fairly quiet combined with the Borla XR1 in the I-pipe.

Here are a few videos. Sorry for the poor quality the video on my camera isnt that good. The exhaust sounds awesome when u get into it. Crusing around the drone cant get annoying. I plan on putting a bullet in the i pipe to tame it down some.

I am running the 12909 on my 1989 Trans Am. It is relatively quiet until you go pedal to the metal and then it has a nice throaty roar to it. I really like it. Driving around town there is no problem listening to the radio or having a conversation with a passenger. Also no drone.

How well does it fit in the factory location, is this on a Mufflex system?

Mine is on a 3rd gen and it fits just fine in the factory location. I also have the Mufflex 3.5" catback system.

Did your Mufflex system come with the Magnaflow #12909, or did you get it yourself and install it later?

BTW, Mufflex told me that the Magnaflow #12909 would be to long.

No it did not come with it. At that time I had a choice of either a Flowmaster or a Spintech. I choose the Spintech. I did not like it and it was very heavy. I bought the Aerochamber and did not like that. Later on Magnaflow came out with the 12909 muffler and it was what I was looking for in a muffler. I think the cat-back portion of our cars are the same. It fits fine and maybe some trimming was needed but not much. In this case Mufflex is wrong.

Attached is the best picture I have of it installed.

Okay, at least now I do know it'll fit in case the Borla XR1 and the 14" magnaflow don't tone it down enough; and thanks for the photo!

BTW, which end did you use as the inlet, offset or centered end?
