post cut out pics hey all,
just got the cut outs in the mail and dont know where to install them. Behind the headers as close as possible? before the h-pipe? after the h-pipe?
which way is loudest and most effective? Dont know if i should have them pointing down cuz of ground clearance. and dont want them where they heat up the floor. So, can you post pics of your cut outs and exhaust systems?

Go to my picture website in sig. Mine is in the intermediate pipe. The only problem with it there is it is really LOUD inside the car. I also have gutted cats which makes it worse. But then with an electric cutout you can close it when you want to.

The second pic I attached might give you an Idea of the ground clearance. I've had my QTEC on for 2 years now and have never bottomed it out on anything. It's definatly not the lowest point on my car. One thing, notice how long the bolts are on my Cutout. I extended them before ever installing the cutout, for 2 reasons. 1 was to put a turn down on it, which I just did a few months ago. The other reason is that the bolts on a Flow Tech cutout are just barely long enough to attach the QTEC with so the longer bolts make it much easier.
I've also redone the wiring harness with a high temp fiberglass insulated wire to prevent the heat from the cutout from melting the wire. I don't have any pix of the new wiring harness, but it wasn't hard to make at all.
