Default He anyone wired an electric cutout to the power seat wiring harness?

I am wiring my new electric cutout. I need to connect it to power somehow. I have one red, and one black wire. I noticed the wiring harness for the power seat also has one red and one black wire and it occurred to me maybe I could do it? Is it possible, has anyone done it?

I know this doesn't answer your question but don't they sell electric cutouts with a key fob so there are no connections to make?

Yes it's possible, had one wired to the seat on my 98 z28.

There's a writeup on here with pictures.

Yes they do sell eclectric cutouts with a wireless fob, but you still have to power the cutout motor somehow. So even if I had that, I would still need to wire it somehow.

I did a search and couldn't find it. Could you share the link?

It does work! I just did it. Unfortunately I managed to burn my hand on the soldering gun. It hurts.
