Default Sound clips of duals with BIG cams?

I'm curious to see just how much an X-pipe smooths out bigger cams. I'm looking to do a 3" true dual system with Spintech mufflers, probably their Super Stock Race Quiets. I hear the sound clips on their sight and the cars don't sound all the wild, and they tell me it's just cause of the X-pipes. So I wanna hear some of the more "serious" cars with duals out there. Cams must have an intake duration of at least mid-high 230's and exhaust duration of mid-high 240's. The bigger the better. Let's hear the real glory of duals (with a crossover pipe) instead of on all these basically stock cars.

a buddy of mine has a 3 inch X pipe into a pair of dynomax turbo mufflers. He's running something around a 232/236 cam i think it was (i cant remember the exact specs but its a big cam for an LS1). it sounds MEAN definitely a 60s muscle car sound....its not really that loud though overall. LOTS of lope naturally but its not really too obnoxious unless you want it to be.

as far as i know there aren't too many LS1 cams out there as big as u describe and the ones that are are fairly new, not too many people have them.

I'm just trying to get an idea of what duals will sound like with a cam close to the specifications of mine. My cam is a 236/243 with around .600" lift in a 355 LT1. I decided to post this on LS1tech cause it seems like you guys have a little more elaborate setups on the whole and tend to deviate from the norm a little more. I figured there would be some solid roller guys (with a balance pipe, already heard Derty's ) who could chime in. Oh well, it's all good. Btw, your car sounds nice SouthFL. It chops fairly well for having an x-pipe.

went under the axle on both sides, it's all but welded except right before the axle where the pipe slides over one another and held together with an exhaust clamp this way the pipes can be removed eaxily if you ever needed to drop the axle.

I'll add your cam specs to the true-duals page, but I also wanted to ask what headers you are using?
