Default Ls6 intake manifold w/ egr

Trying to find out can I get a LS6 intake manifold with the EGR as I have a 00 M6 Camaro with all the emissions crap. Looking at putting on ARHs but Im not sure if I wanna do race style or with emissions......also am I looking at a substantial loss in power if I don't switch out the LS1 manifold to the LS6?

yes SLP made a version of it with the EGR modification. or you can pick up a FAST 90/92, as they are set up 4 it

I think they jussstttt stopped selling them. I would look at the classifieds, look on e-bay, or even call a couple vendors to see where you can get one. And yes, you are leaving hp on the table by having your ls1, anywhere from 8-15hp. LS1 intakes are a big choker when you have a complete exhaust setup.

ok thanks.....i would prefer the ls6 intake manifold over a FAST (over priced) or if I have to I suppose I could just remove the EGR. Thoughts about removing the EGR and leaving the AIR? Possible?

Oh yeah..You can remove the egr no problem. You'll just need block off plates and a tune to tune out the ses light. If you do end up with an ls6 you might as well remove the air while the intakes off. It's all pretty easy as long as you follow the write ups on here. I did mine about a month ago heres a couple pics.

Guess I was just wondering if it would benefit anything to remove the air as well. Like would it be better either way if I left the air on. So since Im looking at removing them both I would be ordering the race headers correct?

Race headers come with no egr. So you'll have to remove it. The air as well as it hooks up to your manifolds. The air is nice to remove because it cleans up your engine bay..no more vaccum/zzzzzz sound upon start up, alittle weight reduction as well. If your going to remove egr your gonna have to do the air.
I had no idea what I was doing.....Read the writeups.... a couple hrs later it was removed..it's pretty straightforward and easy..can't mess it up...

correct me if im wrong but my air system was hooked up to both headers/manifolds before i decided to delete it, and had to use blockoff plates since i ordered emission style headers..an forgive the unsober typing

You can always go with a BBK SSI intake, you can bolt your egr up to it!

if your after emissions and only bolt ons its really not worth the $$ to me...the only reason made me bolt the ls6 intake that it was i got it dirt cheap and honestly i cant tell if i gained any..am sure i gained some but it isnt noticeable..id recommend doing full exhaust first and see how it goes from there..

Yeah order the race style headers, and ls6 intake.... and remove air and egr and never look back. Just make sure you can pass emissions some states have visual that look for this stuff and you will fail if it is not there.

I would use a std LS6 intake, cut the tube on the EGR and epoxy a nut to the manifold so you have bolt the EGR tube and make it look like you have it connected.
