Does the LSX intake come with a new MAP Sensor installed?
Does the LSX intake come with a new MAP Sensor installed? If you order a new LSX intake, will it come with a new MAP Sensor installed? What if you have a custom sheetmetal intake built - is it usually built with a new MAP Sensor in place so you are ready to go? If I do have to purchase a MAP Sensor, how much are they? Thanks in advance!

It comes will the necessary install hardware (TB bolts, Intake bolts and washers, valley cover bolts & instructions) but no Map sensor, also note that if you look at your LS6- the MAP sensor has a vertical clip that holds it down. Well the LSX doesn't, I used automotive 3M double sided tape to hold mine down - you dont want it floppin around back there or better yet coming loose. Also there is no bracket for your canister purge (im pretty sure thats correct).
And lastly, expect to transfer over your TB gasket from your old intake (Im not sure about the 90mm version though).
A new map sensor is around $37.42 (depends on sponsor), here is the part# 16212460.

Thanks alot for all the details! Can I simply remove the MAP Sensor from my stock LS1 intake ('99) and swap it over. If I can simply do that - then that should be the way to go - right?
Make sure the wire harness will reach the new MAP sensor location. I did not do that before I installed the intake & it popped out. It aint much fun to get to with the LSX sticking up in your way! Mine needed to be re-routed between the hoses & wire harnesses to reach. Again, no fun to do with 0 room to work....

Good point, I haven't had a chance to install the LSX yet since Im waiting on my Billet fuel rails and lines to get here. So I need to re-route the wires to ensure that the Map sensor isn't yanked out - I'll re-route it tonight. If all else fails I could always lengthen the wires.
Also what did you use to hold down the sensor, I laughed when I read the FAST instructions and it said to connect the sensor 1st then place the sensor on the intake during install -- I cannot believe it doesn't have a mount for the sensor....
