Default Ls1 pops under hard acceleration

So just bought a 99 Z28 yesterday and love the car. Got it for a good price but something I noticed today and wondering if people might know whats going on. I was coming to work today and got on it in 2nd gear and heard a popping from under the hood. Almost like a backfire. Car is has a few things done like Pipe setter long tubes, off road y-pipe, v-force mufflers, those were all done before I bought the car.

all you have is an exhaust leak from one of your gasket, most of these issues occur with a bad doughnut gasket where the flange of the header meets the y-pipe. It goes between there, besides that, just check for exhaust leaks. (in darkness, night, or inside) If you have access to a lift, have someone get in you car, and rev it up a little, in neutral of course while you are under it..you will easily track down the popping, every pop is a spark...

just my 2 cents..from what your describing, hope this helps you out

actually yea, it wasn't on when I looked at the car/test drove it. Drove it 5 1/2 hours yesterday to get home and it seemed like it turned on after I got gas. I'll have to have autozone scan it tomorrow also.

So went to autozone and the code that came up was P0332, Knock Sensor Circuit Low Input Bank 2. Would that cause that problem?

Might also want to replace your fuel filter.

Cat overtemp protection will dump fuel shortly after you
start running it hard. That can make some soot or even
burn in the pipe, depending on how whacked the fueling
may be from other mods untuned.
