AMW catch can
For those interested in a pcv catch can that has a primary function of removing contaminates deriving from the crankcase, AMW is now offering a billet assembly that has already been tested and is being used on many LS1's with very good results. A few FAQs about the kit; all billet construction anodized for protection and looks, all hardware is included; hoses, fittings, billet mounting bracket, ect. Installation takes about 15 minutes and maitenence of the system is minimal.

Would it effect its operation any to remote it a little farther?
Anyway to have a bracket made, with the kit, to mount where the EGR used to be?
Is a filter in the Valve cover necessary after install of the can?
Charlie.

location of can is not real crucial, I've mounted most on the dr side fan shroud, two to three feet of hose going both ways will flow plenty of volume.
As long as the factory fresh air tube is still connected, a vc filter is not needed

I new that question would pop up! Actually, hand polishing is more of a cost prohibitor than anodizing, we've considered polishing some but right now we are going to try to stick with the anodized version. Biggest draw back to a polished can is keeping it that way, I have polished one can and it wasn't long till it had water spots and the looks went downhill.
