Throttle stop under Gas Pedal?! 47%TPS at WOT - PICS
I got this car around 10 months ago with spun bearings and a blown M6. It has a 408 that has since been rebuilt.
I got the car back 4 days ago and found something strange... Maybe the car has a TB from the wrong year with the different throttle cable cam?
When I push the pedal down the TPS only reads 47%. When I open the throttle at the TB it goes to 100%.
I looked under the pedal and there is a plastic throttle stop. Is this normal?
How can I tell if it has the wrong year throttle cable cam on the TB?
The TB has 23950 on it.

I haven't seen that plastic piece (maybe for lack of
looking) but I have seen cars where pedal pull could
only make 80% TPS. Bending the pedal arm out was
all it took (bench vise & piece of pipe).

It looks like it might be a 98-99 TB on a 00 car. They had smaller cams on the throttle body and could be a problem. Hard to tell for sure from than angle. A direct side shot of the TB cam would be better. Since it just has one cable, it may be a ASR (traction control) equipped car unless it is not and someone has removed the separate cruise control cable used on non ASR cars. If the pedal cable runs to a servo behind the battery and another cable from the servo to the TB, there should be an adjuster in one of the cables to take out any slack which will keep it from going 100%.

You got the car back from whom? A shop that did the engine install?
Sometimes when shops do work, they limit the car's performance to reduce warranty claims against their work. Many transmission shops make it so you cant place an automatic transmission into first gear.
I just checked my car. It does NOT have this thing.
Yank it out and re-check your TPS opening percentage.
I'd say your throttle body and accelerator cable are the correct ones.

if u follow the cable back to where it has a bulge looking thing and see if it came loose.. When i had my N20 hooked up it stooped spraying, found out it wasnt hitting WOT (100% TPS) anymore. Well, the clip came loose and the cable walked out some. So, just pushed the cable back tight and snapped it back on.
