i have a 2002 ws6 that i have been working on for a year got the motor in everything hooked up new gas then tried to start it and all it did was crank no turn over so had a buddy help me out and no fuel pressure and the fuel pump isnt kicking on so ordering a new one from summit and was looking at it and am wondering which is easiest and better in the long run remove the exhaust and drop the tank or cut a trap door to remove it

 

cut a access panel under the carpet in the rear much easier

 

Can we ASSume you checked the obvious stuff like relays and fuses?

 

yes yes that i did and just picked up a walbro 255 today just now to get a cut off wheel and cut a access panel

 

be a man.......drop the tank

 

cut the access hole i dropped a tank once after that i said never again lol

 

If you have the tools and time, I agree. When I pulled my tank years ago it took maybe two hours tops. But when I got stuck 1500 miles from home, I had to cut the panel.

 

You will be glad you cut the panel if a hose pops off or something and you have to get back in there.

 

Cut a access hole, and make sure the Walbro pump you bought is the direct fit one thats for 99-02 only, if its the one thats for 93-02's you'll have to modify part of your gas tank and it wont work as good.
