The problem is that every LS1 system has to route under the driver side across the frame rail
I'd suggest getting some Mac mids (there was a set in the TX classifieds w/no y-pipe a few weeks ago) and have a custom y-pipe built that routes like the 93-95 LT1s did - behind the k-member, merge under the passenger side hump, and 'S' pipe to the trans tunnel into the I-pipe. My 93's is ran this way and the lowest part of the exhaust is still an inch above the fender tabs

so many different opinions I got a headache just thinking about it. Just scared I'm gonna hit a bump on the freeway and break/bend them bad bad, I need them to be tucked in just like the stock headers

With a jack and a short section of some thick wall metal pipe(about 3" dia.) you can make an additional 1/4" (at least) of exhaust clearance on the driver side frame rail. If you're wiling to cut and weld, even more.
FYI, the lowest part of my BBK ORY-pipe is 3" from the ground and I'm lowered.
