Default Cheap Catalytic Converter?

Okay so I have a 1998 Formula.
One of my cats (Don't know which one) is broken on the inside.
It makes a horrible rattle and it needs to be fixed.
Im looking for a new cat.
Any good places that sell cheap ones?
I'm eventually (Within the next few months) going to get LT headers and ory.
So this cat doesnt have to be a permanent fix.
Where can I find a cheap one?

Also, will a muffler shop be able to tell me what cat needs to be replaced?
Thank you!!

What you can do is take the car to your local auto parts store and they should be able to scan it for you, which will in turn tell you which cat is bad. Also, if you plan on getting headers soon then I wouldn't worry too much about spending any extra money on getting it fixed if you can just deal with the noise. It's not going to hurt anything, just will be annoying and you might see a temporary decrease in gas mileage and performance.

I've seen cats on ebay for as low as $35 if you want to go with that.

I was wondering how long you have had them on your car. I am assuming that both catalytic converters are the same on both sides (im a newb lol)? I need to purchase a new one for the drivers-side, everytime I start her up (2000 ws.6) it makes that annoying popping sound and she is also throwing a code. I need a new one to pass inspection, thank you for your time..

If you're gonna replace one, go ahead and replace both. Good chance the other one is gonna go out soon also.

I think I'm having the same issue with my 2002 WS6. Do you know what size converter is required? Everything is stock.

Hello,
I got my problem fixed awhile ago but i'll see if I can help you.
After closer inspection of under my car, I saw that my flange what broken off and was just connected by a bolt and it was rattling.
See if this is your problem especially if you live somewhere where rust is an issue!
God I hate rust
