ive seen quite a few vehicles with aftermarket maf sensors fail after just a year of having them. even in gm training class they told us thts one thing not to cheap out on.

?1.what year GTO doe's this MAS come off? I'm thinking it has to be a early GTO w/ LS1 engine.
?2.where did you get it and what was the price please includ link.
?3. is addtionale tuning required or is this a direct replacement?
Thanks
got it off ebay
the pn may have changed..... dont know if it needs tuning i have *NOT* tuned it
if you go to the dealer and get a maf replacement they are no longer metal

I was in a bind so I ended up purchasing the cardone MAS SES light dissapeared.
1st MAS lasted 50 miles then the same P0171-P0174-P0300 codes came back.
2nd MAS lasted 25 miles then the same P0171-P0174-P0300 codes came back.
3rd MAS lasted 15 miles then the same P0171-P0174-P0300 codes came back.
can't understend why
there is no vacunm or exhaust leak, good fuel preasure new fuel fliter, clean air fliter. I'm at a lose on what could be going on.
Thanks for any advice
Thanks
these cardones can't be complete turds that only last a few miles?
I'm changing MAS MAF more often than I check my oil.
Thanks
"Z06" or 85mm truck MAF (same thing) WILL require tuning.
