What is fair? Used FAST 92
They seem to have come down on price, but now the same price or just a little lower than new!
I saw one on EBay for $750, seller will not come down.
I think $300-$500 is fair for an old dirty FAST, opinions?

Old and dirty means nothing, you can easily clean those up.
A damaged one yes will go for under $500. But a perfectly working piece will not lose more than half its value just because of some dust that can be easily wiped off.
I would say fair value is $600ish.

Well a LS6 will go for 300-350 shipped. I think a Fast 90/92 used is still going for 600-700 shipped. I wouldn't expect them to drop down to 500 or so anytime soon, but a few years from now maybe.

I got my 92/NW92 combo for 800 shipped, but that was a HELL OF A DEAL. I truthfully think 700 shipped is fair for a used 92. It's not like they break down, wear out, or degrade.

But, would you say the same thing about a car with scracthes and worn paint? It still drives around and operates like a new car. Is it worth new car price because it still performs as advertised?
I feel a new price tag justifies a new intake. Besides operating correctly, there are no worries it was tightened down too much, has small cracks, leaks etc...and its ready to bolt on.
IMHO buying anything used is a risk, and stuff has to be cheap enough for me to accept the risk. 10% off is not enough, hell a vendor here can you 10% off.
I think $550-$600 is about what I would pay to assume some risk and factoring in the cost of cleaning it up, prep, paint, and new seals.

I think the potential used intake buyers are thinking like me! See the backlog of FAST intakes in the swap meet section?
Its almost funny and sad at the same time! They all seem to be listed for $700-$750...and there they sit!
Thank you Comp Cams! Now I can probably get a FAST! The lower demand is going to bring these used intakes into a more afforable price.

Well I've seen a LS6 go for $400. Which is Crazy. And HEAR about FAST90 goin for $550-$600ish. I would like to get at LEAST $500 for my 78. I dnt even wana say how much I bought it for a while back. And you can't compare LS6 to a FAST78. You can't port the LS6... or open up the snout to 90 like you can on the FAST78. you can BARELY open up a LS6 to 85 if I remember correctly

Its a chain reaction....LS6 intakes will drop in price too! LS6 intakes were getting price that high because of the FAST intakes. Now that they are dropping, so will the LS6.
I agree with you, why by an LS6 for $400 when you can buy a FAST 78/90 for $500? or a used 92mm for $600-$650? Right now its not widely known the FAST 92mm are out...In time you will see.
BTW: Why would someone buy your FAST 78 for $500, invest a hundred or two for porting when a new 92mm can be had for $800? Not going to happen...Sad, but true
