Default LS6 Manifold Differences

Doing some digging through old threads and saw some posts that the LS6 intakes on the 01-02 F-bodies weren't the same as the LS6 intakes on the Corvette and that that the F-body units actually made better numbers on the dyno...any truth to this or is it something that can just be chalked up to every car is different (not the intake itself), dyno type, temperature/weather conditions, etc?

There is a vette ls6 manifold for sale that I plan on purchasing so I figured I should find out for sure, I want to squeeze out as much hp as possible

From what I've researched on ebay, the Corvette Z06 part number LS6 manifolds seem to sell higher than average compared to Fbody LS6 manifolds.

As far as flow, I doubt there is any difference between the two.

That would be my guess....My LS6 intake off of an F-body has the Z06 part number.

There has been results of the f-bodies LS6 intake flowing better than the vettes. I am going to try and find something but I know Ive read that.

After looking at a few things, there were no posted dynographs, numbers etc. NUmbers between the two are negligent and ou would see a bigger difference in numbers with a weather change. Power difference is about the size of a **** hair.

Haha good to know. I do plan on doing either a cam/nitrous build or a heads/cam build....h/c/n is an option but very remote. I don't like the idea of putting in a cage. I'm wondering at what point the LS6 is going to hold me back...before I found this vette ls6 for sale I was planning on buying a BBK manifold w/ 80 or 85mm TB.

^^^ dnt go BBK. go FAST! And about the LS6 I believe they are all made the same. Why would GM make 2 different molds? And 01-02 Fbody equip with LS6 will make lil less than 98-00 Fbody equip with LS6 because they had bigger cams... Anyone think of that? Only difference between LS6 intake is part#...

Like badass said... I also bought a LS6 from a 02Z and it had ZO6 intake number.

For LS1 equipped cars cost/benefit wise, BBK is the best choice for performance and they look great. FAST are too expensive. BBK manifolds have proven to consistently outperform LS6 manifolds.

Don't even mention heat soak, it's

Right....I don't see where you're going with this lol. I just made this thread to see if anyone had any proof or could corroborate the rumor that LS6's off an F-body make more power than a Z06 LS6.

I said dnt buy BBK. buy a FAST.... then you compared a BBK to a LS6... so idk where you got I was comparing BBKvsLS6... if anything I was comparing FASTvsBBK.... which is a no brainer... Get it now?

Heat soak of the intake is BS. The air doesn't spend enough time inside the intake to heat up measurably.
