Op do what you do ,forget about the nay sayers .Your always going to have that from some when you deviate from the norm. I commend you for thinking out of the box. You have an excellent design on your primary tubes , most get a 45* on passenger but not on the driver , nice job . Hope you get the result you going after.

+1 for a sound clip as well

I'm betting that the exhaust will sound really nice and mellow.

Overkill.. You could make a a chain-linked X dual setup from collector to the tip with X's for no reason. I could see more of the trumpet(popping) sound going on with the addition Xs. I just don't see where the time/effort is justified with this. I can ride the bandwagon and say cool I guess..

I agree. Just because it is good with one doesn't mean you can throw more in there and get better. When dealing with mechanics and physics the math isn't as simple as mere addition. When something works with one engine or vehicle, like the MB AMG's, doesn't mean it is a good idea to use with another completely different design of engine. Thinking outside of the box and randomly adding X pipes because some MB forum said it was a good idea are not the same thing. I wonder what the before and after dyno numbers would say? If people assumed everything they see on internet car forums were a good idea then we would have all sorts of people "sand porting" their cylinder heads and installing "direct exhaust injection" into their cars to get some sort of turbo affect. Remember that uniqueness and innovation aren't the same thing.

Good craftsmanship and good design are worlds apart. That is why when you see those cars with a Corvette front clip blended onto a Mustang body you still have to ask "Why??!!??" even if you understand that the craftsmanship itself is quality.

But I will try to be nice and say that from what I can see it appears the welds are decent. I guess if all else fails you at least got some stick time on your new TIG machine.

IMO, it his money (not mine or yours), so as long as he documents it well, it makes for a interestingly different thread, regardless of whether there's any real benefit to his build. I also do have to applaud him for the quality work!
So now where's the sound clip...?

BTW,I've read way to many threads where someone employs all the proven exhaust principles only to ruin their build using crush bends in it; that to me is a real waste of time and money!

cool, set-up, I'm interested in a sound clip as well. I only run 1 x-pipe, so this should sound way different.
