Thanks guys to whom gave compliments. We did take some video tonight. Start up. roll out full pedal, drive by, in car cruising on the highway 65. My friend is going to edit it all together tonight into tomorrow. Its still a work in progress. I don't have the correct muffler hangers yet, nor the tips/turn downs on it. I know that will effect the sound too. When you work late on weekends plus other things, there are only so many hours in the day. Video will be up as soon as I can post it.

kinda sounds like every other ORY with LT headers and free flowing exhaust... it doesnt really sound like a true dual. I dont know if itw the video quality or just your revving it and it just sounds like all v8s revving up. its a bit raspy for being a true dual. it shoud be smoother in tone with the xpipes.
now on a unique stand point it looks cool and obviously gets peoples attention and has people asking questions.
the science side of it is telling me theres too much going on inbetween collectors and tail pipe. your flow is probably being compromised by the extra 2 x pipes (power lose)
the first one is good, mixes the two sides of the exhaust streams, equaling out pulses and aiding in scavanging. hence, the ZR1 probly uses this on its exhaust.
the extra 2 x pipes are probly causing too much turbulance in the transitions.
look, we arnt telling to not do it or to do it, just letting you know that on the "purpose and science" side of this mod is a bit in-efficiant.
but custom wise, it looks pretty damn cool.
now if you stick an LS7 or a 500ci block in there, i bet THAT will freakin sound AHHmazing with that

They are not fart cans, they are Magnaflow 14616's which a lot of CTS-V and GTO's owners use. Fart cans actually have the tips built in. Those are the raw over size outlets so you can slide 2.5" pipe into. As for tips, I've addressed this. I never said it was done and that I needed some. I want to build ones that look like the factory rectangular but slice and dice some round tube to make offest ovals, well when I get the time anyway.
As for judging sound quality, I gave a clip. FWIW I know one thing for sure, it sounds different on the 2 computers I've listened to it on. I also know on here I have upteen critics on the way it sounds YET in real life I have heard nothing but compliments including today at the top on 2nd gear at 6800 at an AutoX. Those compliments are from people across the board on vehicles they own.
Idk, maybe my setup sounds exactly the same as some XYZ bolt on exhaust. Maybe I could have saved some coin. Who knows, I don't really care. I live in northern WI. V8 Fbody's aren't that common from the 5 month harsh winters, let alone true duals or even a good cat back. I have yet to hear a system I really liked from the ones I have heard so I did my own thing.
The way I see it is I have clearly stated I just wanted to try something alittle different for I was interested in the way it would sound, react. I've never claimed it was perfect, give 60 more hp, and make your gf give you a lap dance every night served with a side, hell, 2 lbs of bacon. Its just a trial and error experiment.
As for a thought of claimed power loss, I couldn't answer that one way or another for I don't have any dyno slips. The only thing I can say on that front, it seems to rev faster and it spins my 265/35/18 Nitto NT01's easier then my Corsa with old 275/40/17 Nitto 555's (300 tread). And even if I did lose 10 whp compared to my Corsa, I'm more then fine with it. It was obnoxious before. Its a lot, a lot better now.
