Ha ha, might find out sat night. He's at 485rwhp. I could win by an inch before. But he's running a drag radial now. He would kill me on street tires. I'm looking into 19" drag radials right now. No sense I add anymore power yet. Right now, I'm crawling off the line, 1/2 throttle at the start of second gear. I'm leaving alot at the line.
But by my car being at least 500lbs lighter than other cars. I can run with cars close to 500 hp. Once I get the MT drag radials.....

We should get together some time. I don't really do too much of the street racing but it's nice to be able to BS with folks and I haven't really found much of a mature scene in hawaii except for a couple guys that hang out at the NEX once in a while before they get kicked out.

It's a shame about the intake. I am using a FAST 102 and it almost seems too big. I'd probably go with one of the black 92mm that they have out now in hindsight.

Check your PMs bro. Hawaii Kai car cruise coming up sat. Maybe some action after. I'll link you to a new site. In the near future I might do the 102/102combo. Let me know if your going to sell the 102 down the road

go sooner!! i don't want to wait that long for the results. ha-ha. i have the Professional products intake and TB and wondering what you find out. I'm not a big fan of spending $800 on a FAST, but i also want as much power as possible! def. looking forward to your results!

No updates yet. It's running at least as strong as it was with the ls6 intake. I have changed my plan a little. Before I retune, I yanking off the car. Using a dye grinder to open the s out to 100mm, then put on the ported 90mm throttle body, pot the runner 1/2 way up from where they mount to the head. I never did a good job port matching, so cleaning that all up too. Then retune. It will take me a couple weeks as I have little free time to work on the car. But I will update. If I do sell it. It will be cheap

Needs dyno numbers to be taken seriously as a upgrade over a ls6

Yeah I hear ya. I did lose a good chunk of power at first, on the dyno, got it back changing tbodys. But since I'm going to do more changes, I'm not going to dyno until those are done. Since the car sits most the time, probably my be a few weeks til I actually get to it

Reviving an old thread. Did you ever get any solid ls6 vs 85mm PP hp data? like back to back dyno runs?

I had a typhoon intake and lost 20 hp, according to dyno results. with LS6 intake I made 418rwhp, w/ typhoon, my best pull was 389rwhp. I now have a 98mm fast tb and 102mm fast intake, making 442rwhp. no port matching here, but will port soon now that we got the cold front here in south Texas.
