Default Help with a 96mm pp intake

Ok I've done some research but I'm still reading mixed info. I finally sold my ls6 intake and took the plunge into get the 96mm pp typhoon intake. I'm having issues with what's compatible or not. Ok first off I was wondering if rtv is ok to use on the tb for gasket. Also will a regular felpro gasket for fine with the intake or do I need to get one from pp themselves? And lastly will a nick Williams 102mm tb be fine for the intake?(plan on port matching the intake and also porting the intake to 102mm if this can be done)

If I need to buy specific gaskets could you also point me in the right direction?

You should not need RTV. The intake should have come
with all of its gaskets, the TB with the TB-manifold one.
Professional Products should be able to sell you replacement
pieces if this is a used item; they gave me new version
gaskets for free because mine was new, but had the
obsolete green cardboard type. Hit them up and see what
they can do for you.

I bought it used no tb. Was looking at the 102mm nw. It should work if I just port the intake to a 102mm correct? And I can't use a regular felpro gasket or anything else? Like can I go to the dealer or autozone or something to get a gasket or are they specific?

Make sure you you change the valley pan bolts to low profile button head types. Or the intake will never have a chance of sealing. My directions say you can use sealer if you want to get a good seal. But makes it harder to clean up next time you remove the intake. It's a pain to get all the fuel fittings just right so they won't leak

I already have the bolts. But anything on the gaskets?...do they also sell the bolts?

I have the 85mm intake and TB, I used the standard green gasket it came with and kept getting codes like vacuum leaks and lean conditions. So I went to a performance shop by me and picked up the fel pro's and those seemed to fix the issue. On my new motor, I used the same intake manifold and the same gasket (new), but used sealer on both sides of the gasket. Using the sealer on both sides seems to have given the best seal and so far i haven't had any issues doing that.

Do like you were already advised and call PP to get the gaskets they recommend. That way you know you won't have a problem with leaks.
