whigham that was my original inspiration. owning a hot rod shop that deals with mainly LS and seeing the LSA blowers all over the place, I had to come up with a solution before the next guy!
redtan, Hawks sells the same ones, which are almost an identical copy of my port profile, for 225$ more, made of phenolic. my Version 2 will be similar to their design, but with a lot more material removed for weight and appearance.
Heres a few pics of the new Gen2 Spacer. Little bit of refining. Added pockets to clear guys with ARP head bolts, matched the outside to the blower profile, and a few small tweaks. PM me for more details I dont want to spill all my beans!!
Why not? The "heartbeat" should actually fit. The MP's won't without shimming down and all, but after talking to Magnuson and all, yeah, they should fit an FBody no problem.
That was my original inspiration behind getting the Mast Small Bore LS3 heads.... Build a C5 ZR1/Z06 killer.
I like this idea. If you produce a final and finished product and want to sell them, get with one of our sponsors to sell them here and you'll be able to talk about them and promote them all you want.
I'm in an 94 RX7.......not quite the same hood clearance. Quite a bit of room otherwise. Just a really low hood. I had to shave the letters off the intake and use aftermarket rails because the intake and stock LS2 rails would otherwise rub on the hood. It's that close. The heartbeat is another inchish taller. Cannot lower the steering rack anymore otherwise the geometry get's completely out of whack. Pistons 1 and 2 sit just behind the rack.
So next would be how do we affordably /drive/ said blowers? Seems like most of the threads I have seen stall(and often end up in sale of a lot of tempting parts) when they get to the accessory drive(s) to run the thing.
I'm sure you'd just need some pulleys from an zl1 or ctsv.
Sure; that's easy if someone is taking the entire setup off. What I usually see is the bare(ish) blower and then threads about how putting together a FEAD is going to cost a thousand bucks.
What I'm saying is there are a thousand cheap blowers out there and no accessory drives I've seen for sale for a price as reasonable as the blowers. I did the math and ended up in used Magnusson/Whipple land. At that point, are these actually a bargain?
I don't mean to come across as negative. I want one of these on my engine bad. I've been drooling over the blowers but it never looks affordable as a complete solution. To me. And I'm not that smart, hence why I'm asking you guys.
the truck/LS3 camaro offset lines up. You can use the C5 vette accessories to hold the alternator and power steering, and just space out the brackets off the heads. Use a truck water pump and factory truck tensioner, or get a solid adjustable one from Katech etc. You could also use LS Simples relocator kits. As long as there is a truck offset belt you can make it work. Im still working on car offset 6-rib replacement pulleys. CNC lathe has been full of work lately and im wating for some gaps in work to do some R&D.
FYI you can get a COMPLETE blower on Ebay for like 2500, with lid, rails, injectors, etc. throw in some adapter plates, alt/ps relocator, new belt, maybe a 3 to 4 bolt TB adapter, and go do some burnouts. Not like i havent done a bunch of these or anything.
Paul Bell im talking with a few sponsors already! Will try to keep it down until they can get something rolling, just trying to get the word out and do some PR.

Sounds promising. Guess I need to stop believing everything I read on the Internet. I will start another thread so you can get back to your (very nice looking) adapter plates.
Now I want to see this in a budget compound-boost 5.3 application.
What is the implication, if anything, of the increased volume of the adapter? Are we increasing the volume of the head intake ports, the length/volume of the intake manifold runner, both? Am I asking a question that doesn't matter?
It increases the plenum volume, essentially making the runner longer. might gain some torque, but its a lot less noticeable since its a forced induction system. Theres no way to do a back to back test since there is no common head that has both port designs.
Well I might as well chime in. I know im not a sponsor so admin please let me know if this isnt allowed.
These are patent pending, and im not showing a 100% complete set unless you buy a set, or the patent is finalized.
425 shipped in lower 48
uses stock gaskets on head side
uses stock gasket on blower side
bolts supplied
raises blower by an inch
Nice fix... Freaking good idea, and they look great.
And patents are powerful, so what if a guy at home makes a set, it's the corporations who try to sell, that would get a suit on them.
And 400 ish, is kinda expensive, but it is what it is, because patents are very expensive. In the future if you can make a run of these, hope the price can come down.
I would advertise on eBay.
