Default Rectangular to Cathedral adapter?

Anybody ever heard of adapter plates to go from a rectangular port intake manifold to a cathedral port head?

... or... vice versa?

motivation = budget.

long story short, i have cathedral port heads and might get my hands on a buddy's tvs supercharger, built for rectangular port heads. Short of a manifold or head swap, wanted to see how feasible it was.

Any adapter would kill head flow going from a long skinny port to a short fat one. Probably why nobody has come up with one.

I'd off your ls3 style heads and pick up a set of 317's and put some money in your pocket at the same time.

Scratch that. You have cathedral heads.

I'd just pick up a set of ls3 heads and call it a day. Any adapter you can pay someone to come up with will probably cost more than a head swap.

you can pick up some brand new ported LS3 heads for about $1500. then if you have ARP bolts and MLS gaskets you are golden

here are a set from TSP:

Pick up a set of stock LS3 heads, and bolt on the blower. Think I saw a new set in the classifieds for around 650ish.

arent we missing some components? like isnt his block a 3.9? so the LS3 heads are a 4.0 Bore so dont think he'd get much benefit unless he plans on doing a full stroker, if he has the budget for that then he'd b ok.

oh I believe MAST has 3.9" bore rectangular port heads available. should look into that. unless ur an LS2 already then i believe u'd b ok w/ just doing heads swap. i'd call up TSP or EPS someone vendor and explain what u have and what u have the chance of getting and they'll let u know what u need.and not screw u.

Well I might as well chime in. I know im not a sponsor so admin please let me know if this isnt allowed.

These are patent pending, and im not showing a 100% complete set unless you buy a set, or the patent is finalized.

425 shipped in lower 48
uses stock gaskets on head side
uses stock gasket on blower side
bolts supplied
raises blower by an inch

So you want to sell a 400+ dollar piece of aluminum without any sort of information to people? Ooooook.

I'd also be interested in such but would need more info. What size are the ports on both ends? Are there options for people running different sized heads?

Sold some sets elsewhere. No complaints. A lot of positive feedback. I'll have a few more sets installed in the next week or so. Not sure what other info you might need. They make square port manifolds and blowers fit cathedral heads, use OEM gaskets, bolts are supplied, and they lift anything you put on them 1" Vertically. The port sizes are stock on both sides, maybe a little larger on some castings. I can make them larger to save on porting work but it costs a little extra to redo the model. I'll have more pics in a day or two

So theoretically it increases the volume of the head intake port. Do you know by how much as in what is the cc area of the adapter.

not sure of the CC of the port. Ill see if I can figure it out in the software, or worst case Ill just take them to my head guy and have him measure them. Im currently designing a "Version 2" of the spacer. This one will be pocketed out in non-critical area to make them lighter, as well as having set screws that touch the valley cover to keep the alignment of the ports during install. Ill have more pics in a week or so of those. Im working on getting a vendor sponsor so I can give you guys the full details after that goes through.

That's just damn cool. I like it! So many of these LSA blowers show up for sale and the cathedral headed guys are assed-out... No longer!
