GMPP LS1 Intake - Availbility Update
I've found a new source for the GMPP LS1 Intake.
This part has been impossible to track down via a dealership until now. In the past I was able to put a few folks in contact with WAR the company that designed the intake but their supplies were very limited and are almost exhausted. The GM production version is available - finally!
The intake is finding it's way into the GM Racing part division. I still don't have a part number but Steve @ Confederate was able to track the intake down.
Confederate Chevrolet is able to provide intakes for any person or sponsor that is interested with in a few days.

I'll try to post up a picture tomorrow. My home PC went down with a worm. So I wasn't able to follow up yet.
The GMPP intake has lot's of material for porting so you can port match it to your heads. The LS6 and LSX tend to have torque peaks around ~4800 rpm. The GMPP will peak closer to ~5400 rpm depending on the porting. The higher rpm should allow for more top end hp.
The price of the intake is very reasonable under $375 or about what other GM intakes cost. Shipping will vary depending on where your at.

GM Performance Parts introduces a new intake manifold for those that want to run their GM Gen III V8 (LS1-style engine) on a carburetor or EFI throttle body. Designed for high performance applications, this open plenum intake manifold has been extensively dyno-tested and has shown very even exhaust gas temperatures across all the cylinders – which means it has very even air/fuel mixture distribution.
That price is a little steep in the link.
