I believe you want to eliminate restrictions in the intake...this seems to be going in the wrong direction.

Any restriction will limit flow.
With that said, the process of mixing air and fuel together to get proper combustion is a function of mixing the two together consistantly throughout the combustion chamber. This of course is a theoretical of proposition, as it is next to impossible to get every square inch of the air/fuel ration to be the same(roughly 14parts air to 1 part fuel).
With the advent of sequential direct(almost direct anyway) fuel injection at high pressure, which helps atomize the fuel as it enters the cylinder along with the air,we are one step closer to optimum efficiency.
Other than compressing and/or cooling the air coming in to make it more dense, I don't see how these inventions work being that they are static devices.
Maybe someone smarter than me knows how these units work, if indeed it is more then someone just trying to make money off of unsuspecting consumers like us.........

No, from an engineering perspective, all this dealy's gonna do is restrict flow and waste your money. I doubt you'd notice the flow restrictions, but you certainly wouldn't see their claimed gains.

As technical as a set of fixed blades can get, there's no pressurizing or cooling done to the air. While this thing may induce swirl in your induction system, all that will be lost through turbulence when the air reaches the intake runners anyway (WAY before it even sees the fuel), making the unit redundant.

Do a search for "Tornado Performance Booster"
A guy here in C. Ohio add one to his 2000 F-body and he claims
that he pick up .2 seconds with the Tornado. Could be because
of the year intake he has? How knows. Check out the site and decide
for yourself if it is worth the try.

I have seen the Tornado thing dynoed at MTI and the guy lost 10 horsepower. It is a waste of money.

I think it might work on a carburetor but not these LS motors.
